Diablo 4 Could Be Coming to Nintendo Switch 2 as Soon as September

Diablo 4 may finally be making its way to Nintendo Switch 2, with a new report claiming Blizzard could release the action RPG as early as September.

French outlet Dealabs Magazine reports that recent ratings board listings point toward a Switch 2 release on either September 15 or September 18. The report also claims the game will cost $69.99 USD ($99.09 AUD) and receive a physical “code in a box” edition rather than a traditional cartridge.

Blizzard has yet to officially announce the port, but the rumours have been building. Earlier this year, a listing from Indonesia’s ratings board reportedly mentioned Diablo 4 and its Lord of Hatred expansion for Nintendo Switch before being removed.

More recently, Taiwan’s ratings board briefly published a classification for a Switch 2 version of Diablo 4, adding further weight to the possibility that Blizzard has been preparing the port behind the scenes.

Dealabs claims it has independently confirmed the existence of the Switch 2 version, although it’s currently unclear whether Lord of Hatred will be included with the release.

Could Diablo 4 Be Revealed at Gamescom?

If the reported September release date is accurate, an official announcement could be coming very soon.

Gamescom 2026 takes place later this month, with Microsoft already confirming a major presence at the event as part of Xbox’s 25th anniversary celebrations. Several major titles are expected to appear, making it a potentially ideal opportunity for Blizzard and Xbox to finally pull the curtain back on the Switch 2 port.

A Switch 2 release would also continue Blizzard’s support for Nintendo hardware. Diablo 3 launched on the original Switch in 2018, followed by Diablo 2: Resurrected in 2021.

For now, however, the Diablo 4 Switch 2 port remains officially unannounced. If the report is accurate, we may not have to wait much longer to find out.
