The classic Korean RPG is coming to PC, Switch, Switch 2 and PS5.
NIS America has announced a Western release for Astonishia Story, a remake of the classic Korean RPG originally released in 1994. The game will launch on February 11, 2027, for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
Developed by Daemon Media and Waycoder, the remake modernises the original adventure with enhanced visuals, higher-resolution graphics and refined gameplay mechanics while retaining its traditional role-playing foundations.
Players follow Lloyd von Reuental on a quest to recover a stolen relic and restore his honour. Along the way, Lloyd becomes caught up in a conflict involving prejudice, manipulation and duty, as the Elven Queen seeks to claim the power of an ancient god.
Combat takes place on a grid-based battlefield, requiring players to consider unit positioning and make effective use of their characters’ abilities. Players can also recruit optional mercenaries, each with unique skills that offer additional ways to approach encounters.
With its blend of classic RPG mechanics and modernised presentation, Astonishia Story is set to introduce a cult favourite to a new audience when it arrives in the West next February.
