Sony has unveiled a new Midnight Black PS5 Slim Digital Edition bundle in Japan, alongside a matching black disc drive.
Announced through the official PlayStation Japan blog, the bundle includes an all-black PS5 Slim Digital Edition console and a Midnight Black DualSense wireless controller, offering a sleek alternative to the standard two-tone design.
The matching Midnight Black disc drive will also be available for players looking to complete the monochromatic setup.

The bundle launches in Japan on November 19, 2026. No international release has been announced at this time.
Sony also reiterated that, from January 2028, games released from that point onwards will be available exclusively as digital downloads through the PlayStation Store and other retailers. Physical editions of games released before January 2028 will remain available.
