PAX Aus has unveiled the first game joining its PAX Rising showcase for PAX Aus 2026, with the charming card game Cat Spotting leading this year’s lineup of independent titles.
Designed as a fast-paced observation card game, Cat Spotting challenges players to be the first to find a hidden cat among a crowd. The game features 120 hand-drawn cats, six unique game modes, and even includes several real-life feline companions submitted by Kickstarter backers.

PAX Rising is one of the festival’s signature attractions, giving attendees the opportunity to discover and play upcoming indie games from developers around the world before they launch.
Cat Spotting is the first of many PAX Rising titles expected to be announced in the lead-up to PAX Aus 2026, which takes place from October 9–11 in Melbourne, Australia.
