Publisher PlaySide Studios and developer Fumi Games have announced that MOUSE: P.I. for Hire has sold more than one million copies worldwide.

According to the developers, sales have been evenly split between console and PC, with approximately 50 percent of players purchasing the game on each platform.

The noir-inspired first-person shooter launched on April 16 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, with versions for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch still planned for a later date. Physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 became available on July 10.

Celebrating the milestone, Fumi Games founder and CEO Mateusz Michalak thanked the community for its support.

“From what started as a simple concept of a 1930s-themed cartoon shooter, the game has reached more players than we could have possibly imagined.”

Michalak also highlighted the team’s commitment to supporting the game after launch, pointing to the recently released Level Revisit update, the launch of physical editions, and an upcoming story expansion currently in development.
