Nintendo has published the voting results from its 86th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, revealing the approval ratings for the company’s board of directors following their re-election.
All nine directors standing for re-election were successfully reappointed, including Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa, legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, and senior executive Shinya Takahashi.
Among Nintendo’s internal leadership, Miyoko Demay received the highest approval rating at 98.24%, followed by Shinya Takahashi, Satoru Shibata, Ko Shiota, and Yusuke Beppu, each earning just over 96% support from shareholders.
President Shuntaro Furukawa received 90.98% approval, a slight decrease from 92.60% in 2025. Meanwhile, Shigeru Miyamoto was re-elected with 95.80% support, down marginally from 96.18% last year.
As in previous years, Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri, who serves as an outside director, recorded the lowest approval rating of the group at 75.06%. However, his result is largely unchanged from last year’s 75.87%, indicating stable shareholder support.
Overall, the 2026 results closely mirror those from the previous year, with only minor fluctuations in approval percentages and no significant changes to Nintendo’s board composition.
