343 have announced that the November update for Halo Infinite will include a 3rd person feature.
The Halo social channels have shared a Work in Progress look at how it will play.
The little info we have is that it is coming to select modes but will be available in Forge creations also. All players will have to be in the same 1st or 3rd person view for a consistent experience.
