Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games have announced that Fable will launch on February 23, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will also be available day one on Game Pass.
The release date reveal came alongside a new trailer introducing several key characters from the upcoming fantasy RPG, including its primary villain, played by Hayley Atwell.
The latest look at the game showcased the series’ trademark blend of fantasy, humor, and player-driven adventure, while offering a deeper look at the cast players will encounter throughout their journey across Albion.
Fable marks the franchise’s long-awaited return after more than a decade away, with Playground Games rebuilding the beloved RPG series for a new generation. The newly announced PS5 version also continues Microsoft’s recent strategy of bringing more first-party titles to competing platforms.
With a release date finally locked in, Fable is shaping up to be one of Xbox’s biggest launches of 2027 and one that PlayStation players will be able to experience alongside everyone else.
