Halo: Campaign Evolved Launches This July

Halo Campaign Evolved

Xbox Game Studios and Halo Studios have announced that Halo: Campaign Evolved, a full remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, will launch on July 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will also be available day one on Game Pass.

While the remake faithfully recreates the original 10-mission campaign, the biggest addition is Operation: METEORITE, a brand-new three-mission story arc included with every edition of the game.

Set one year before the events of the original Halo, Operation: METEORITE follows Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson on a secret UNSC mission aboard a Covenant research vessel. What begins as a routine operation quickly escalates as the duo uncover a dangerous new threat behind enemy lines.

The new campaign content introduces fresh locations, new enemy variants, additional weapons pulled from across the Halo franchise, and even space-based combat encounters. Halo Studios also confirmed that acclaimed Halo novelist Troy Denning collaborated on the story.

Players can choose between Standard, Premium, and Collector’s Editions, with the Premium Edition offering up to five days of early access beginning July 23.

With upgraded visuals, modernized gameplay, and an entirely new Master Chief adventure, Halo: Campaign Evolved looks set to be much more than a simple remake when it launches later this July.
