Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake is Coming

So it looks like the rumoured Black Flag remake is real and coming very soon sooner then you may think.

Thanks to info from Insider Gaming new details and documentation on the game sent to Insider Gaming under the condition that it does not go public suggest that the game is well into development prior to the recent Assassin’s Creed Shadows delay, which is understood to have affected the Assassin’s Creed pipeline of content releases, the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake (codenamed Obsidian) was to be released around November 2025, which would be around the same time that the series’ multiplayer offering, codenamed Invictus, is to be released.

 there is also the info that comes from a LinkedIn profile revealed that Ubisoft is doing more than graphical upgrades to the title.

“As listed in the project’s description, the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake will feature new systems, with combat and ecosystems around wildlife specifically mentioned. There’s not much else to mention beyond the team hoping that these new systems will make the classic an “outstanding game to rebirth as the next-gen AAA game.””

So to recap everything we know so far

• More than just a visual upgrade
• Upgraded gameplay mechanics
• Combat and ecosystems around wildlife
• Built on Upgraded Anvil engine
• May launch as early as November 2025
