PUBG’s Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 transition is happening late Thursday night

As announced earlier in the year, PUBG: Battlegrounds is moving to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series however with that does come the end of support for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of the game.

With the move to current gen does come improvements to the level of detail, resolution and frame rate of the game:

*Players will be able to pick the mode on Xbox Series S.

PubG console servers will be going offline Thursday afternoon 12/NOV/25 from 12 noon AEDT to 11pm AEDT.

Once back, PUBG Studios have noted that Xbox Achievements will carry over however the PS5 version will be treated as a new title, and achievements will not carry over. Existing account data and in-game purchases will however automatically carry over.

Preloading is available from Wednesday 12/NOV/25 at 1pm AEDT.

PlayStation® users will need to download the PlayStation®5 version of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS from the PlayStation®Store after November 13 in order to continue playing. Xbox users who already have the game installed will receive the current-gen version automatically via Smart Delivery starting November 13.

As a reward for console players that create a PUBG: Battlegrounds account on Xbox One/Series or PlayStation 4 before the server maintenance, players will get the following:

• PUBG Icons Parachute
• Desolate Military Base (Nameplate)
• PUBG Graffiti (Emblem)
