SHIFT UP has confirmed that new details on the next Stellar Blade and the long-in-development Project Spirits will be revealed sometime in 2026.

The announcement came as part of the company’s Q1 2026 financial results, where SHIFT UP outlined its long-term roadmap and growing ambitions in the PC and console market.

One of the biggest takeaways is that future Stellar Blade projects and upcoming titles from UNBOUND the studio founded by industry veteran Shinji Mikami will be self-published directly by SHIFT UP under a first-party publishing strategy.

According to the company, development on the next Stellar Blade is progressing smoothly and meeting internal quality targets. SHIFT UP says self-publishing will allow it to better control marketing and communicate the franchise’s identity more directly to players worldwide.

The original Stellar Blade continues to perform strongly following its release, with SHIFT UP describing it as an “evergreen intellectual property” supported by ongoing sales, collaborations, and seasonal promotions.
