Crystal Dynamics has unveiled a brand-new trailer for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis during Sony’s June 2026 State of Play, while also confirming the game’s release date: February 12, 2027.
The upcoming adventure is described as a full reimagining of Lara Croft’s original journey, recreating the story that started the iconic franchise while modernizing it with Unreal Engine 5 technology.
The announcement confirms earlier reports that the game has slipped out of 2026, meaning it will miss the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
According to Crystal Dynamics, Legacy of Atlantis aims to faithfully recreate the spirit of the original Tomb Raider while introducing modern visuals, gameplay systems, and storytelling techniques for a new generation of players.
The latest trailer offered the most extensive look yet at Lara’s adventure, showcasing ancient ruins, deadly traps, and the mythical mysteries surrounding Atlantis.
With a February 2027 launch now locked in, fans will have to wait a little longer to return to Lara Croft’s origins but the latest footage suggests the extra development time could be worth it
