Lords of the Fallen II Confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2

CI Games and Hexworks have announced that Lords of the Fallen II will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside its previously confirmed PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions this fall.

The announcement marks the first time Nintendo players will be able to experience the dark fantasy Soulslike franchise, with the development team targeting a stable 30 FPS in both handheld and docked modes.

According to Hexworks, the Switch 2 version utilizes Unreal Engine 5 technologies including Nanite and Lumen, allowing for enhanced visuals, dynamic lighting, and higher-detail environments while maintaining performance on Nintendo’s new hardware.

Building on feedback from the 2023 reboot and more than 70 post-launch updates, Lords of the Fallen II promises a faster and more responsive combat system, expanded enemy variety, larger biome-specific factions, and more dynamic boss encounters. The sequel will also feature shared-progression co-op at launch and a deeper focus on the mysterious Umbral realm.

Game director James Lowe said the team is working to ensure the game’s brutal combat and atmospheric world translate seamlessly to Switch 2, adding that Nintendo players deserve to experience the game “at the best quality possible.”

With support now confirmed for all major current-generation platforms, Lords of the Fallen II is shaping up to be one of the biggest Soulslike releases of the year when it launches this fall.
