Developer WayForward has offered fans their first glimpse at the next Shantae game, confirming that a brand-new entry in the long-running platforming series is targeting a 2027 release.
The announcement came in the form of a teaser image shared by the studio, offering an early look at the project while confirming that development is officially underway. Beyond the release window, however, WayForward has yet to reveal any gameplay details, story information, or the platforms the game will launch on.
The upcoming title will mark the first brand-new Shantae adventure since Shantae and the Seven Sirens, continuing the beloved franchise that first debuted on the Game Boy Color in 2002.
For now, fans will have to wait for additional details, but with a 2027 release window now confirmed, it’s likely that WayForward will have more to share in the months ahead.
