Counterplay Games, the studio behind Godfall, has announced that its upcoming roguelite third-person shooter Armatus will launch on January 7, 2027.
Set in the demon-infested ruins of Paris, Armatus puts players in the role of the last supernatural warrior of an ancient order. Armed with powerful firearms, a scythe, and celestial abilities, players must fight through increasingly dangerous versions of the ruined city in search of the mysterious Sunless Gate.
The game is built around a roguelite structure where death is part of the progression. Each run allows players to experiment with different weapons, abilities, and passive upgrades, with combinations ranging from SMGs and shotguns to abilities capable of unleashing holy fire or slowing time.
Armatus will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, with the game also available through Game Pass.
