No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 Launch Delayed to March 2027

No rest for the wicked

Moon Studios is giving No Rest for the Wicked more time to reach the standard it wants before leaving Early Access.

Moon Studios has announced that the 1.0 release of No Rest for the Wicked has been delayed from October 2026 to March 2027. The action RPG has been available through Early Access on Steam for two years, with the studio previously announcing that the game had surpassed 1.5 million copies sold.

According to the development team, the additional time will be used to improve performance, refine the class system, and polish the overall experience. Moon Studios also plans to run additional beta tests, giving the community more opportunities to provide feedback before launch.

THE HONEST TRUTH IS THAT WE’RE A SMALL TEAM, AND WE’RE HOLDING OUR GAMES TO A STANDARD WE WON’T COMPROMISE ON. WE’RE CLOSE, BUT CLOSE ISN’T
GOOD ENOUGH FOR OUR FULL 1.0 LAUNCH. THE EXTRA TIME WILL HELP US IMPROVE PERFORMANCE, TIGHTEN THE CLASS SYSTEM, AND POLISH THE WHOLE GAME
TO THE STANDARD YOU ALL DESERVE. WE’D RATHER TAKE A FEW MORE MONTHS THAN SHIP SOMETHING THAT WE KNOW ISN’T QUITE PERFECT YET.

The delay follows the studio’s decision earlier this year to postpone the Xbox version over concerns surrounding performance and quality on Xbox Series S.

While a specific March release date has not been announced, PlayStation pre-orders are scheduled to begin in January. Players who purchase the Steam version before 2027 will also receive Founders Pack rewards as a thank-you from the studio.

For now, Moon Studios is choosing to delay No Rest for the Wicked rather than rush its long-awaited 1.0 launch.
