Ghost Recon is getting official news for the 25th anniversary.

Ubisoft has confirmed that Ghost Recon will receive official news on August 6, as the franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary.

While Ubisoft has yet to reveal exactly what will be announced, speculation is already mounting over a potential current-generation update for one of the series’ most popular entries.

Wildlands Definitive Edition Rumoured

Among the biggest rumours circulating is the announcement of Ghost Recon Wildlands: Definitive Edition.

According to recent reports, the updated version is expected to feature:

• Native 4K resolution
• 60 FPS gameplay
• Support for PlayStation 5
• Support for Xbox Series X|S

Ubisoft has not confirmed the existence of a Definitive Edition, meaning fans should treat these reports as speculation until the official announcement on August 6.

If the rumours prove accurate, it would be the first major current-generation upgrade for Ghost Recon Wildlands, which originally launched in 2017.
