That’s No Moon, the studio behind the upcoming single-player Crossfire game, has reportedly been hit by layoffs, with an unknown number of employees affected.

Several former staff members announced their departures on LinkedIn on August 6, with roles reportedly including technical artists and environmental artists. The studio has yet to disclose how many positions were impacted.

That’s No Moon was founded in 2021 by veterans of studios including Naughty Dog and Infinity Ward. The team unveiled Crossfire, its first AAA project, during Summer Game Fest 2026.

Set within the world of the popular Crossfire franchise, the game follows opposing operators Layla Qassem and Delroy Cross, who are forced into an uneasy alliance as their respective missions begin to unravel.

One of the game’s major gameplay features is adaptive cover, which allows characters to dynamically change their stance based on the surrounding terrain and nearby enemies. The developers say the system is designed to make the environment an active part of stealth and tactical gameplay.
