Microsoft’s smallest Xbox controller yet is now available for pre-order, with an Australian launch scheduled for November.
Xbox has officially announced the new Xbox Nano Controller, a compact and affordable wireless controller designed for gaming on the go, smaller hands and players looking for a more portable option.
Measuring just over five inches long and weighing approximately 99 grams, the Nano Controller retains all 18 standard gameplay inputs in a significantly smaller form factor.
Despite its compact size, the controller features a built-in rechargeable battery, a programmable Action Button for shortcuts such as screenshots and gameplay capture, and support for both Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. It can connect to compatible Xbox consoles, PCs, mobile devices and select smart TVs.
Xbox Nano Controller Australian Pricing
The Xbox Nano Controller is priced at A$79.95 in Australia, with pre-orders available through the Australian Microsoft Store. The controller is scheduled to launch locally on November 3, 2026.
For comparison, the US price is US$49.99.
Microsoft is also partnering with Samsung and Meta on promotional offers in select markets. These offers bundle the Nano Controller with two months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for new subscribers when purchasing eligible Samsung TVs or Meta Quest devices.
With its pocket-friendly design, rechargeable battery and familiar Xbox layout, the Nano Controller offers a new alternative for players wanting to take their gaming beyond the living room.
