ZA/UM’s espionage RPG arrives on consoles with its expanded Director’s Cut edition, featuring new story content, gameplay additions and platform-specific features.
ZA/UM has confirmed that ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 on November 3, bringing the espionage RPG to both consoles alongside its expanded edition.
The Switch 2 version will take advantage of the system’s hardware, supporting Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, touchscreen functionality and HD Rumble 2. Players will be able to navigate conversations, intelligence and the streets of Portofiro using controls designed for both handheld and docked play.
Meanwhile, the PS5 version will feature DualSense support, including adaptive triggers, haptic feedback and controller speaker functionality. The release will also include 3D audio and a 4K presentation.
Both console versions will include the Director’s Cut content from launch, adding substantial new material to the experience. This includes approximately 40,000 words of additional writing, a new Dramatic Encounter, Backstage Mode, new outfits and various interface improvements.
One of the major additions is the Quisach Roundabout, an encounter that sees protagonist Hershel and her old friend Ramses stuck navigating a roundabout in a hijacked tuk-tuk while under the influence.
Backstage Mode also offers a look behind the scenes of development, allowing players to explore earlier versions of selected environments, discover cut content and hear stories from the development team, narrated by art director Kaspar Tamsalu.
The Director’s Cut further includes revised and completed English voice acting, alongside visual, accessibility, interface and quality-of-life improvements.
For PC players, the expanded edition is already available as a free upgrade for existing owners. Console players can experience the additional content when ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut arrives on November 3.
