Spiders to Shut Down After 18 Years, Confirms Studio Closure

Spiders has confirmed it will shut down after 18 years, with the Paris-based studio entering full liquidation.

The developer known for titles like GreedFall, Steelrising, GreedFall: The Dying World and the upcoming DLC shared the news in a statement, confirming operations will cease immediately.

“We have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated… This means the company as a whole no longer exists.”

One Final Release Before the End

Despite the closure, planned DLC for GreedFall: The Dying World will still launch via Nacon.

After that, the studio made its position clear:

“The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then well, that’s it.”

According to the statement, the closure follows a prolonged period of uncertainty, with the team receiving confirmation only recently.
