Valor Mortis Delayed to October

Valor Mortis

Publisher Lyrical Games and developer One More Level have delayed upcoming first-person Soulslike Valor Mortis from its previously announced September 24 release date to October 13.

The game is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

According to the developer, the delay isn’t due to development troubles but rather the increasingly crowded September release calendar. September 24 alone is expected to see the launch of Silent Hill: Townfall and CONTROL Resonant, while Onimusha: Way of the Sword arrives the following day. Other major releases throughout the month include The Blood of Dawnwalker, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, Minecraft Dungeons II, Valheim, and more.

In a statement announcing the delay, One More Level said it wanted to give both the game and players’ wallets “some room to breathe.”

The extra few weeks will also allow the team to continue polishing the game using feedback from the recently released Steam demo.

While the wait is slightly longer than expected, fans won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on Valor Mortis, which now launches on October 13.
