Control Resonant Gets September Release Date at State of Play

Remedy Entertainment has officially revealed the release date for Control Resonant, confirming that the highly anticipated sequel to Control will launch on September 24, 2026.

The announcement came during Sony’s June 2026 State of Play showcase, alongside a brand-new trailer that offered a deeper look at the game’s reality-bending world and mind-warping narrative.

The latest footage doubles down on the surreal atmosphere that made the original Control so memorable. City streets twist and fold in impossible directions, massive buildings shift through the skyline, and entire train lines appear to tear through reality itself. The visual style evokes films like Inception while pushing even further into Remedy’s signature blend of psychological horror, science fiction, and supernatural mystery.

While the trailer remained light on story details, it showcased a significantly larger scope than its predecessor, with environments appearing more dynamic and destructive than ever before. Reality itself seems to be unraveling as players once again confront forces beyond human understanding.
