Double Fine Revives Amnesia Fortnight Through Kickstarter

Fans will be able to vote on which game ideas Double Fine turns into playable prototypes and potentially its next release.

Double Fine is bringing back its popular Amnesia Fortnight game jam on August 31, launching the event through Kickstarter and giving fans a direct role in the creative process.

Backers will be able to watch the studio pitch new game ideas and vote on which concepts become playable prototypes. Four projects will be selected, with supporters later helping decide which one receives further development and could eventually become a full release.

The event will also be documented by 2 Player Productions, offering a behind-the-scenes look at Double Fine’s development process as the newly independent studio begins its next chapter.
