Dying Light: The Beast released last year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series and was planned to release on PS4 and Xbox One, until today, when Techland announced the cancellation.
Techland acknowledged the disappointment and said everyone who was “expecting to play on either platform will be eligible for a refund”.
In the Twitter post, Techland explains that the game features elements that depend on the processing power and memory that current generation hardware provides and that “bringing the game to [PS4 & Xbox One] platforms would require compromises that would prevent us from delivering the experience we set out to create.”
