Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II has officially been dated, with the retro-inspired first-person shooter launching on October 14, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. A Switch 2 version is also in development and will release at a later date.

Developed by Auroch Digital and published by Big Fan Games, the sequel picks up after the events of the original Boltgun, once again putting players in the role of Ultramarine Malum Caedo. This time, he is joined by Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath as they investigate increased Chaos activity across an isolated star system.

The pair soon find themselves facing Vashtorr the Arkifane, a powerful demigod who awakens a massive daemonic machine and devastates the Imperial fleet. Players will have to travel between worlds, destroying the corruption powering Vashtorr’s plans.

Boltgun II will expand on the original with faster strafing-focused combat, a larger arsenal and a mix of returning and new enemies, including Bloodletters and Juggernauts.

The game will also feature an original musical track from Mick Gordon, best known for his work on DOOM and DOOM Eternal.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II launches October 14, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Switch 2 version will follow later.
