A new Ace Attorney title has been announced, with Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies VR bringing the courtroom drama to virtual reality in 2027.
The upcoming release reimagines the 2013 Nintendo 3DS game for Meta’s VR platforms, including Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest Pro, and Quest 2. It will also support Meta VR Glasses, according to the announcement.
An announcement trailer has been released, showcasing the game’s transition to VR and its updated approach to courtroom battles and investigations.
Ace Attorney Heads Into VR
Dual Destinies VR will allow players to examine crime scenes in 3D, present evidence using gestures, and challenge witnesses through voice commands, including the franchise’s iconic “OBJECTION!”
Players will once again follow Phoenix Wright alongside Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes as they navigate the so-called “Dark Age of the Law,” where the pursuit of victory threatens to overshadow the truth.
While the announcement offers fans a new way to experience the franchise, this is not an entirely new mainline entry. Instead, it is a VR adaptation of the original Dual Destinies.
Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies VR is scheduled to launch in 2027. A specific release date and pricing have yet to be announced.
