Sunborn Network Technology has officially announced Girls’ Frontline: Blue Butterfly Contract, a new sci-fi co-op shooter in development for iOS and Android.
Developed by its internal Hecate Team, the game shifts the long-running franchise into a third-person shooter format, with a focus on player-versus-environment gameplay and cooperative mechanics.
According to its TapTap page, Blue Butterfly Contract blends squad-based combat with a futuristic setting, continuing the series’ signature style while pushing into more action-oriented territory. An official debut trailer has also been released, offering a first look at the game in motion.
Details remain limited for now, with the project still in active development. However, the move to a co-op shooter marks a notable evolution for the Girls’ Frontline series as it expands beyond its strategy roots.
Girls’ Frontline: Blue Butterfly Contract is currently slated to launch in 2026 on mobile platforms.
