Valor Mortis Delayed to October as Developer Avoids Crowded September

Valor Mortis

Publisher Lyrical Games and developer One More Level have delayed Valor Mortis from its previously announced September 24 release date to October 13, 2026.

Unlike many delays caused by development setbacks, the studio says the decision was largely driven by the increasingly crowded September release schedule.

In a message to fans, One More Level explained that September has become packed with major launches, including Silent Hill: Townfall, CONTROL Resonant, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword, alongside several other highly anticipated titles.

“We want to give Valor Mortis (and your wallet) some room to breathe,” the developer said.

The extra three weeks will also allow the team to continue polishing the single-player first-person Soulslike ahead of launch. According to the studio, feedback from the recently released Steam demo is already helping shape additional improvements.

While the wait will be slightly longer, the delay could ultimately benefit both the game and players, giving Valor Mortis a clearer launch window and more development time before it arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 13.
