CI Games has announced that Lords of the Fallen II has been delayed to 2027, pushing the Soulslike action RPG beyond its previously planned 2026 release window.

In a development update, the studio said the additional time will allow the team to further refine and polish the game based on ongoing feedback from its Gameplay Feedback Team, a group of experienced Soulslike players working alongside the developers.

“These enhancements will benefit from additional integration, iteration, and polishing time, enabling the team to deliver the highest possible quality at launch,” CI Games said in its statement.

The developer also revealed that the delay is a strategic move designed to avoid the increasingly crowded 2026 holiday release schedule. With several major titles already scheduled for later this year including the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI CI Games believes the new launch window will give Lords of the Fallen II more room to stand out.

First revealed during Gamescom 2025, Lords of the Fallen II serves as a direct sequel to 2023’s Lords of the Fallen, itself a reboot of the original 2014 title.

Lords of the Fallen II is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, with a release now planned for 2027.
