Publisher NIS America and developer IKINAGAMES have officially released STARBITES for Nintendo Switch 2, following a last-minute launch delay.
Players who already own the original Nintendo Switch version can upgrade to the Switch 2 edition for $4.99, gaining access to the enhanced version on Nintendo’s latest console.
Originally released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, STARBITES is a turn-based RPG set on the war-torn desert planet of Bitter. Players follow the story of Lukida, a young salvager whose dream of escaping the planet is disrupted after a mysterious encounter with a giant robot.
Exploration plays a major role in the adventure, with players traversing the wastelands aboard customizable Motorbots while uncovering the secrets buried beneath the planet’s shifting sands.
Combat revolves around a classic turn-based system that rewards players for exploiting enemy weaknesses, breaking their defenses through the Fracture mechanic, and chaining additional actions using the Driver’s High system.
With its blend of anime-inspired visuals, strategic RPG combat, and sci-fi storytelling, STARBITES is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, giving players another RPG to add to the platform’s growing library.
