Disney Speedstorm is the latest title to receive a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, with the update now live in select regions ahead of a worldwide rollout expected over the coming days.
Developer Gameloft has introduced several enhancements designed to take advantage of Nintendo’s new hardware, offering players a smoother and more visually impressive racing experience.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition includes a range of technical improvements, including:

Disney and Pixar’s Fast-Paced Racer
Originally released as a free-to-play arcade racer, Disney Speedstorm brings together characters from across Disney and Pixar franchises in high-speed, combat-focused races.
Players can choose from a growing roster that includes fan favourites such as Mickey Mouse, Sulley, Mulan, Beast, Captain Jack Sparrow, Baloo, and many more. Each racer comes equipped with their own unique abilities that can dramatically influence the outcome of every race.
Success isn’t just about top speed, either. Mastering mechanics like drifting, perfectly timed Nitro boosts, and learning each track’s shortcuts are key to staying ahead of the competition.
Plenty of Modes and Customisation
Disney Speedstorm features both single-player and multiplayer options, allowing players to race against AI opponents, challenge friends locally and online, or compete against racers from around the world.
The game also offers extensive kart and character customisation, with players able to unlock new suits, vehicle liveries, wheels, wings, and other cosmetic items.
Tracks are inspired by iconic Disney and Pixar films, taking racers through locations including Kraken Port from Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Ruins from The Jungle Book, and the Scare Floor from Monsters, Inc.
