Garena has officially announced Palworld Online, a new large-scale multiplayer survival adventure based on Pocketpair’s hit creature-collecting game. The mobile title is set to launch on iOS and Android in 2026.
Developed by Garena under an official license from Pocketpair, Palworld Online aims to recreate the freedom, exploration, and survival mechanics of the original PC game while introducing a persistent MMO experience built specifically for mobile devices.
“Palworld is a widely recognized IP, and we see an opportunity to bring the essence of the PC title to mobile in a way that encourages players to connect and venture together,” said Garena President Terry Zhao. “Working closely with Pocketpair, we are focused on preserving the depth, immersion, and freedom that define Palworld, while thoughtfully optimising the experience for mobile play.”
Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe added that Garena’s experience with global publishing and live-service mobile games made the company an ideal partner to bring a new Palworld experience to players worldwide.
A New MMO Adventure
Unlike the original release, Palworld Online introduces an all-new story alongside an interconnected open world where players can explore, capture, and raise Pals together. New side stories and expanded lore have also been created exclusively for the mobile version.
The game will feature cooperative and competitive multiplayer, allowing players to form groups, build shared settlements, battle powerful world bosses, and compete in PvP encounters. Players will also be able to visit each other’s bases and work together to expand and defend their settlements.
Built for Mobile
Garena says Palworld Online has been designed from the ground up for mobile, with a streamlined interface, optional one-tap controls, and optimisations for a wide range of devices. Base building, crafting, and Pal management have all been adapted for touch controls while retaining the depth of the original experience.
Palworld Online is scheduled to launch for iOS and Android in 2026.
