The Duskbloods Network Test Set for August

Nintendo and FromSoftware have announced the dates for The Duskbloods closed network test, giving players their first opportunity to experience the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive ahead of launch.

The network test will run from August 21 through August 24, with registration opening on July 22 and closing on July 28. Players will need an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription to participate.

The test will be held across five sessions:

  • August 21: 3:00 AM – 7:00 AM PDT / August 21: 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM AEST (Melbourne/Sydney)
  • August 21: 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM PDT / August 22: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM AEST
  • August 22: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM PDT / August 23: 4:00 AM – 8:00 AM AEST
  • August 23: 3:00 AM – 7:00 AM PDT / August 23: 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM AEST
  • August 23: 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM PDT / August 24: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM AEST

According to FromSoftware, the primary purpose of the test is to evaluate the game’s online infrastructure before launch. Developers will conduct large-scale server stress tests, monitor multiplayer performance across different network conditions, and gather gameplay data to help fine-tune balance.

The closed test will support up to eight players per multiplayer match, though the studio has warned participants that, as the game remains in development, bugs and technical issues may occur during testing.

The Duskbloods is scheduled to launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 later in 2026. Applications for the network test open on July 22. Sign up here
