Nintendo has released an extended gameplay deep dive for Pokémon Pokopia’s upcoming Bubbly Basin expansion, while confirming that both the paid DLC and the free Dive update will launch on August 5.
The presentation showcased new gameplay mechanics, underwater exploration, fresh building options, and the first roadmap details for the game’s Expansion Pass.
Launching alongside the expansion is a free update that introduces Dive, a brand-new ability that allows players to explore beneath the ocean’s surface without restrictions.
Players will learn the ability from the newly introduced Manaphy, unlocking a completely new way to build and explore underwater environments.
To access the new content, players must first:
- Complete the “Raise the Environmental Level” mission in Bleak Beach
- Learn both the Jump and Surf abilities
Once unlocked, players can freely construct underwater habitats while encountering a variety of aquatic Pokémon.
With a free gameplay update, a substantial new underwater region, and two more DLC chapters already planned, Pokémon Pokopia is set to receive one of its biggest content drops yet when Bubbly Basin launches on August 5.
