Xbox Reveals Massive Gamescom 2026

Xbox has unveiled its full plans for Gamescom 2026, confirming one of its biggest convention line-ups in recent years with 25 playable games, over 140 gaming stations, live broadcasts, and hands-on demos for several of its biggest upcoming releases.

Taking place from August 26–30 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany, the showcase will feature a mix of Xbox first-party titles and major third-party games, many of which will be playable by the public for the very first time.

More Than 25 Playable Games

Headlining Xbox’s Gamescom booth are several of the publisher’s biggest upcoming releases, including first public hands-on opportunities for Gears of War: E-Day, Minecraft Dungeons II, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and METRO 2039.

Attendees will also be able to play:

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
  • Fable (live gameplay theatre presentation)
  • Forza Horizon 6
  • Gears of War: E-Day
  • Halo: Campaign Evolved
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Several of these titles, including Alien: Isolation 2, METRO 2039, STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, and Star Wars Zero Company, will receive their first public playable demos during the event.

Gears of War: E-Day Campaign Goes Hands-On

One of the biggest attractions at Xbox’s booth will be Gears of War: E-Day, with attendees getting their first opportunity to play the campaign ahead of its October 6, 2026 launch.

Meanwhile, Halo: Campaign Evolved will allow fans to experience the modern remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved, complete with updated visuals, refined gameplay systems, and expanded combat mechanics.

Players can also get behind the wheel in Forza Horizon 6, test the new Drift Attack mode, and experience new partnership collaborations coming post-launch.

Live Broadcasts Throughout Gamescom

For fans unable to attend in person, Xbox will stream live from the show floor on August 26 and August 27, featuring developer interviews, gameplay demonstrations, new trailers, and special guests.

The broadcasts begin at:

  • 4:00 PM CEST
  • 12:00 AM AEST (August 27 & 28)
  • 10:00 PM AWST (August 26 & 27)

The streams will be available on YouTube and Twitch.

Celebrating 25 Years of Xbox

Gamescom 2026 also serves as a celebration of Xbox’s 25th anniversary, with the booth featuring interactive exhibits highlighting the brand’s history, iconic games, and memorable moments from every Xbox generation.

Xbox FanFest will also return during Gamescom, giving selected fans access to exclusive experiences and community events at the Xbox booth.

With blockbuster first-party titles, highly anticipated third-party games, and one of the largest booths at this year’s event, Xbox is set to have a major presence at Gamescom 2026.
