Embracer Group has announced plans to spin off a large portion of its gaming and entertainment business into a newly formed company called Fellowship Entertainment.
The new company will oversee a massive portfolio of major gaming and entertainment IPs, including:
- Darksiders
- Dead Island
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance
- Metro
- Remnant
- The Hobbit
- The Lord of the Rings
- Tomb Raider
According to Embracer, Fellowship Entertainment will focus on managing and expanding its portfolio across games, publishing, transmedia projects, and licensing opportunities.
The move is part of Embracer’s ongoing restructuring strategy following several years of acquisitions, studio closures, layoffs, and internal reorganization efforts across the company.
With control over some of the industry’s most recognizable fantasy and action franchises, Fellowship Entertainment instantly becomes one of the largest entertainment-focused gaming groups in the industry.
The announcement also comes amid growing momentum around several of its key IPs, including:
- A newly confirmed open-world Lord of the Rings RPG from Warhorse Studios
- Continued expansion of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series
- Ongoing development within the Metro and Tomb Raider franchises
Further details about the structure, leadership, and long-term strategy of Fellowship Entertainment are expected in the coming months.
